Performance

There are two engine options for the new Sierra 2500: a 6.6L V8 gas engine and a 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. The 6.6L V8 gas engine comes standard on all Sierra 2500 trims, offering an incredible 401 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 464 lb.-ft. of torque at 4000 rpm.

Drivers with more extreme needs often choose the available 6.6L Duramax engine for their Sierra pickup. This engine delivers 470 horsepower at 2800 rpm and 975 lb.-ft. of torque at 1600 rpm with a maximum towing capacity of 21,870 pounds.

Exterior

The Sierra 2500 is a large pickup with 17-inch all-season blackwall tires and steel wheels. The available MultiPro tailgate can be reconfigured into six different positions to make loading and unloading cargo easier, while the CornerStep rear bumper provides textured spaces to insert your foot for more stability when getting in and out of the truck bed.

Seating

Six people can fit inside the Sierra 2500’s expansive cabin, with two full bench seats. The front bench is a 40/20/40 split that has a roomy storage compartment beneath. The rear bench is a 60/40 split that you can fold up when you want to put cargo on the floor.

Technology

The 2025 Sierra 2500 contains various tech features that enhance your truck’s capabilities and bring modern convenience to your cabin. The Hitch Guidance function helps you monitor your trailer and hitch on an in-cabin display screen, while cruise control maintains a pre-selected speed as you drive.

Inside the new Sierra 2500, there’s a 7-inch GMC infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity. With Bluetooth technology, these systems pair your phone to your truck for hands-free phone calls and texting.
