Pickup trucks come in all shapes and sizes these days. Some are as much about seating as hauling. Some are meant to get in and out of tight spaces and be easy to park. The 2025 GMC Sierra 3500HD is built to do hard work. This heavy-duty truck offers power and an intelligent feature set that will make sure your whole to-do list gets done every day.

Power Up Front

The Sierra HD comes standard with a massive 6.6-liter V-8 putting out 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. The Allison-rated, 10-speed automatic transmission efficiently transfers power to the rear wheels for maximum towing capacity and control.

Heavy-Duty Performance

You don’t buy a heavy-duty truck like this without needing to haul and tow more than a couple of two-by-fours on occasion. An 11,550 lb gross vehicle weight rating gives the Sierra 3500HD plenty of capacity to work with.

Towing Made Easy

“Heavy-duty” means making trailering safer and easier than ever before. Hitch Guidance adds a centered guideline on the Rear Vision Camera display to help you get hitched up without inventing a new type of semaphore with one of your friends. The same camera can be used to maintain a visual on the trailer while driving as well.

Four and seven-pin connectors are also included as standard equipment to connect a trailer’s lights, brakes, and diagnostic information to your truck. That information is displayed in the Driver Information Center. The included integrated trailer brake controller intertwines the trailer’s brakes with the truck’s ABS to provide measured braking on demand.

Cargo

The 3500 starts with a best-in-class cargo box volume of 69.5 square feet. The CornerStep rear bumper and Side Bed Steps allow maximum access to all parts of the bed from any angle. Twelve fixed tie-downs rated for 500 lbs keep any cargo secure, while cab-mounted and bed-mounted lamps illuminate the bed for access at night.

Storage doesn’t end at the bed. The three-passenger front seat folds down with a 40/20/40 split to make room for diverse loads. Under-seat storage offers a more secure option. The center seatback also folds down for an armrest.

The Sierra 3500HD offers top-of-the-line capability for the serious truck owner. If you’re ready to see what this heavy-duty workhorse can do for you, it’s time to schedule a test drive at Opequon Motors in Martinsburg, WV.
