Woodbrier Golf Course

This popular nine-hole course at the northern end of town has no teeing times required. The owners are courteous, professional, and welcoming, keep their fairways and greens in great condition, and offer games at a very affordable price. There are only nine holes, but you can easily play 18 holes by teeing off from the different tee boxes. 

The official opening time for the course is 9 am, but you can ask the owners about coming earlier, which might allow for a full 18 holes at a leisurely pace before brunch. Visit Woodbier Golf Course at 250 Topflite Drive. 

Evergreen Driving Range

If you need to practice your swing in a comfortable environment with experienced, helpful staff on hand, head to Evergreen Driving Range on the eastern side of town. They have two tiers of well-looked-after chipping mats for both left and right-handed players, with shading benches on the lower tiers for anyone you bring along for company.

The surrounding park has a swimming pool, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, and all lots of other fun things to do after your game. You’ll find it at 500 North Tennessee Avenue. 

The Club at Cress Creek

A short drive to the east of town lies a beautiful 18-hole championship golf course and country club. It’s an expertly maintained course boasting breathtaking views of the Potomac River. The club has a swimming pool, tennis courts, a top-notch restaurant, and a cheerful, family-friendly atmosphere.
