2. Performance
Under the hood, the standard engine is a 2.5-liter Inline-four that outputs 200 hp and 191-pound feet of torque while using a 6-speed automatic transmission. There is also a 3.6-liter V6 that cranks 308 hp and 275-pound feet of torque while working with an 8-speed automatic. The final option is a 2.8-liter Inline-four diesel engine delivering 181 hp and 369-pound feet of torque that pairs with a 6-speed automatic.
All come standard with a rear-wheel drive, while four-wheel drive is available with the V6 or diesel engines.
3. Infotainment and Connectivity
GMC has equipped the newest Canyon with the most recent infotainment and connectivity features to keep you entertained during trips. Standard features include a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrations, satellite radio, a 6-speaker stereo, two USB ports, and Bluetooth connectivity.
High-end variants feature an 8-inch display system, navigation, wireless charging pad, a 7-speaker stereo, HD radio, and two extra USB ports.
4. Safety Features
The all-new Canyon offers cutting-edge safety technology to ensure you reach your destination in one piece. All trims come with a rearview camera and TeenDriver that allows you to set audio volume and speed restrictions for secondary drivers. The available forward collision warning alerts you of a possible collision by detecting still or slowly moving vehicles ahead.
