The GMC Acadia has been built to be as versatile as possible. While it has enough seating for family trips or carpooling, it is still compact enough that you can drive it in urban traffic and expect to park it. It can get up to 29 mpg on the highway but still offers good cargo capacity and towing capability.

The GMC Acadia Is Comfortable

The Acadia is perfect for long road trips or for making the drive to cottage country, thanks to a spacious cabin that has plenty of room and seating for either six or seven, depending on the options you select. Either configuration offers plenty of standard amenities, like tri-zone automatic climate control, to keep everybody comfortable on long drives. Every row comes with cup holders and USB connections.

When the weather is right, you can try available extras like heated and ventilated front seats or the dual-panel skyscape sunroof. Options like the integrated Wi-Fi hotspot and the GMC infotainment package will help keep everyone entertained. If you’re considering venturing out onto some rougher roads you might consider adding the adaptive ride control system to reduce any noise and bumps.

You Can Carry or Tow As Much as You Need

Whether it’s luggage, or groceries, or a set of muddy sporting equipment, the Acadia has plenty of space to accommodate the stuff you need to move. There’s room for most stuff behind the third row of seats, but for especially large jobs the rear seats can fold flat, offering up to 79 cubic feet of storage. For situations where you need to transport awkward loads, the available vertical cargo net and integrated cargo liner help keep things under control.

Towing a trailer is no problem, with a trailer hitch and additional trailering package available on all trims. The optional hitch view camera and hitch guidance can take some of the stress out of backing and maneuvering your trailer, and with the 3.6L V6 engine option the Acadia can haul up to 4,000lbs.

Advanced Safety Features Are Standard

Every model of the Acadia comes standard with the GMC Safety Plus suite. These systems work with the driver to enhance awareness of the surrounding traffic and to help avoid risky situations. Among the included features are Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, and Lane Departure Warning. You can also select from optional conveniences like adaptive cruise control, or a six-inch head-up display to take some of the repetition and strain out of long commutes.

It would be difficult to find a job that the Acadia couldn’t apply itself to. It is engineered to be a hard-working everyday car that is capable enough, and comfortable enough, that you can enjoy it every day, for work or for play.
