Angelo’s Brick Oven Pizza
Sometimes you want an authentic Italian pizza, and if you’re having that craving, then visit Angelo’s at 714 Foxcroft Ave (in the North Mall Plaza). Their sauce is homemade, and it shows, and the dough is absolutely perfect: chewy on the inside and pleasingly crunchy on the outside.
For an appetizer, be sure to try their pizza fries or bacon cheese fries. You can build your own pie, of course, but try their Amore, with olive oil, garlic, basil, olives, and artichoke hearts. We can also recommend the Dill Pickle with Bacon, which is like nothing you’ve ever had before. Angelo’s also serves great sandwiches and burgers.
Giovanni’s
Giovanni’s is located at 134 Eagle School Rd, and we love this spot because of the taste, the sizes, the great prices, and the fact that they’re generous with their toppings without letting the pizza become greasy. Their stromboli is amazing, too.
Try their buffalo chicken pizza and Hawaiian, which are both great. Their veggie is one of the better we’ve had anywhere, and the chicken bacon ranch is a stand-out choice. Their calzones are great, too, and you should try the bacon cheese fries while you’re at it. They run specials all the time, so keep an eye on them to get the special you’re looking for.
